Polyclonal anti-human C-Reactive Protein Procedure: Rabbits were immunized with rat C-reactive protein (CRP) isolated from rat serum. The resulting antiserum was solid phase absorbed with rat serum lacking crp until it gave a single band with serum containing the acute phase protein.
The specific anti- rat crp was immunoaffinity purified off an antigen containing immunoabsorbant.
Specification: Affinity purified Rabbit anti-Rat CRP gives a single band by IEP and gel diffusion. This product is suitable for ELISA and Blotting applications.
Working Dilutions: Elisa Coating 3ug/ml and Western Blot .1ug/ml

Human C REACTIVE PROTEIN CRP
Human C-reactive protein (CRP) is a plasma protein, an acute phase protein produced by the liver. Human C Reative Protein (CRP) is a member of the pentraxin family of proteins.
Human C Reative protein, CRP is a member of the class of acute phase reactants as its levels rise dramatically during inflammatory processes occurring in the body. Human C reative Protein (CRP) is thought to assist in complement binding to foreign and damaged cells and affect the humoral response to disease.
Human C Reactive Protein (CRP) is also believed to play an important role in innate immunity, as an early defense system against infections.
Human C-reactive protein,(CRP)Studies have shown that baseline Human C-reactive protein,(CRP) concentrations are not subject to time-of-day variation and thus help to explain why Human C-reactive protein,(CRP) concentrations are a better predictor of vascular risk than interleukin-6. Determination of Human C-reactive protein,(CRP) for cardiovascular risk prediction may be performed without concern for diurnal variation. Ref: Clinical Chemistry. 2001;47:426-430
Cardiac marker(s):The National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry reports on Human C-Reactive Protein(CRP): Increased concentrations of inflammatory biomarkers such as C Reactive Protein, human C-Reactive Protein CRP, serum Amyloid A, myeloperoxidase and interleukin-6 are detectable in ACS (acute coronary syndrome) patients.
C-Reactive Protein (CRP) Increases Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor-1 Expression and Activity in Human Aortic Endothelial Cells research: This study makes the novel observation that C-Reactive Protein CRP induces Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1), a marker of atherothrombosis expression and activity in human aortic endothelial cells (HAECs) and thus has implications for both the metabolic syndrome and atherothrombosis.
