Polyclonal anti-human Kappa procedure: Goats were immunized with highly purified human kappa chains from normal IgG. Following immunization in Freund's adjuvant the goats were bled, serum collected and the antiserum absorbed with a lambda containing immunoabsorbant. The anti kappa was isolated from an IgG kappa affinity column

The affinity purified anti kappa reacts with both bound and free kappa chains. It does not react with bound or free lambda chains by IEP and double diffusion analysis.
