For informational purposes only. Pharmaceutical Applications L(+)Lactic Acid Crystalline: Excipient, drug delivery. ultra pure cystalline L(+) lactic acid is used as an excipient by pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide. Use of product is determined by enduser.
Applications
Ultra-pure crystalline L-(+)-lactic acid is used as excipient in pharmaceutical drugs due to its stabilizing effect on proteins and its natural anti-bacterial properties. Lactic acid solutions are buffering in pH range 3.5-4.2, which makes them perfect for elution of antibodies off Protein-A sorbents. In published reports it has been reported that, pure lactic acid is one of the main components for IV resuscitation after blood loss due to trauma, surgery, or a burn injury. It is currently the gold standard test to start and monitor treatment for sepsis patients and also used as an excepient with pharmaceutical companies. L(+) Lactic Acid Diagnostic(s) Applications: For use in the manufacture of Lactic Acid Blood Tests. This lactic acid test is usually used to see if lactic acid accumulation is causing acidosis (acidotic body state) symptoms.
