Human Beta 2 Microglobulin (human B2M)
Human beta 2 microglobulin (B2M)is a component of MHC class I molecules, which are present on almost all cells of the body (red blood cells are a notable exception). Human beta 2 microglobulin (B2M) lies lateral to the alpha3 chain on the cell surface. Unlike alpha3, human beta 2 microglobulin (B2M) has no transmembrane region. Directly above human beta 2 microglobulin (B2M) (i.e. away from the cell) lies the α1 chain, which itself is lateral to the alpha2. human beta 2 microglobulin (B2M) microglobulin associates not only with the alpha chain of MHC class I molecules, but also with class I-like molecules such as CD1 and Qa.

Human B2M-Human Beta 2 Microglobulin Research: Human Beta 2-microglobulin protein (B2M) is a low molecular-weight protein synthesized by all nucleated cells. Human Beta 2-microglobulin protein (B2M) is a clinically useful marker for following treatment response of patients with malignant lymphoma or multiple myeloma. Human Beta 2-microglobulin (B2M) Serum concentrations are related to tumor burden. Human Beta 2-microglobulin (B2M) is also elevated in benign diseases; including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, sarcoidosis and some viral diseases.

Human Beta 2-microglobulin protein (B2M) has been found in the human serum of normal individuals and in the urine in elevated amounts in patients with Wilson disease, cadmium poisoning, and other conditions leading to renal tubular dysfunction

Human Beta 2-microglobulin (human B2M): Human Beta 2-microglobulin protein(B2M)Research shows that Human Beta 2 Microglobulin (B2M) plays an important role in regulating the elimination of tumor cells, which occurs as a result of the action of Human Beta 2-microglobulin (B2M) protein as an apoptosis-inducing factor.
