Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) is an enzyme present in a wide variety of organisms, including plants and animals. Tissue breakdown elevates levels of LDH, and therefore a measure of it indicates, e.g., hemolysis. Other disorders indicated by elevated LDH include cancer, meningitis, encephalitis, acute pancreatitis, and HIV.
Lee Biosolutions LACTATE DEHYDROGENASE is available in bulk. Custom buffers and fills are available for LACTATE DEHYDROGENASE
Lee Biosolutions ,LDH, Lactate Dehydrogenase is used in multi analyte clinical chemistry controls and calibrators by major IVD manufacturer(s) worldwide.
Lactate Dehydrogenase(LDH) can also catalyze the oxidation of hydroxybutyrate, Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) is occasionally called Hydroxybutyrate Dehydrogenase (HBD).
Determination of serum lacate dehydrogenase activity is one of the most frequently performed assays as an aid in the diagnosis of myocardial and pulmonary infarction. Other conditions, such as megaloblasic anemia, extensive carcinomatois, severe shock and hypoxia, granulocytic or aute anemia, hemolytic anemia, infectious mononucleosis, preogressive musclar dystrophy, hepatitis, cirrhosis, obstructive jaundice, and in delirium tremens are all caused increased activity of lacate dehydrogenase LDH activity
